What CasusLegal skills actually do using our corpus of higher-court case law: interactive analyses of judicial acts, collections of positions “for and against,” and checks of third-party judicial acts—with direct links to the full texts. Open them and view the complete result.
The most powerful approach is— combining two skills in a single conversation. Inspired by the widely publicized dispute over invalidating a transaction for the sale of an apartment by a well-known performer. First, “Judicial Act Review” compares the first-instance court’s judgment with higher-court case law and identifies a material discrepancy (unilateral restitution instead of bilateral restitution); then “Court Document with Case Law” builds an appeal on these findings. Of particular note is the dialogue: the model explains why one of the arguments was deliberately not presented as a separate ground.

A practical pledge question: a bank took a vehicle as security but did not register it in the notarial register, while the owner took the car from the parking lot without authorization and sold it. Can the bank enforce against the car in the purchaser’s possession? The web chat isolated the legal issues and compiled a review of higher-court case law —from the Constitutional Court to recent rulings of the Supreme Court’s judicial chambers. Next, the dialogue: a clarifying question about whether the pledged property leaving the bank’s possession against its will affects the purchaser’s protection produced a precise addition to the answer. Every link to a judicial act in the export is clickable and leads to the full text.

The skill compiles a ready-to-file procedural document—a statement of claim, statement of defence, appeal or cassation appeal, or motion—in which each argument is supported by higher-court case law. The work proceeds in two iterations: first, case-law selection and a Markdown draft with automated screening for AI markers; then a rigorous black-and-white DOCX version with active links to judicial acts and a catalogue of the case law used at the end. The completed example is a statement of defence in a case on termination of a land plot lease agreement.

Four disputed propositions concerning a pledge of land, a building not yet registered, a claim in bankruptcy and third-party equipment installed in a building were tested against the case law of the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court and Supreme Commercial Court. For each proposition, case law was collected separately “for” and opposing case law “against”. Three propositions are firmly supported by Plenum Resolution No. 23 and a Review by the Presidium of the Supreme Court, while for the fourth the connector honestly indicates that there is no act directly on point in the database— and does not make one up. Every act is clickable.

We take a completed cassation resolution of the Commercial Court of the Moscow District in a lease-termination dispute and test the strength of its reasoning: does each conclusion correspond to the positions of the higher courts? Of the five propositions, two rely on a statutory rule and a Supreme Court Plenum Resolution, while three key propositions—concerning the lessor’s right to restrict access as a “method of securing performance”—are not supported. The analysis shows clearly where the act stands on solid ground and where its conclusion rests only on freedom of contract. Every act is clickable.
