The CasusLegal unified connector in Claude
One server instead of five: all CasusLegal case-law databases and the “Glossa” commentary are connected in a single action, and access is provided by a code issued by your company.
What’s inside
Claude selects the database based on the question. There is no need to connect separate connectors for each database; it is better to disable any already connected so that the search is not run twice.
Higher Courts
Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Supreme Commercial Court of the Russian Federation: Plenum resolutions, Presidium reviews, and rulings of judicial chambers.
Intellectual Property Court
Intellectual Property Court: trademarks, patents, copyright, and Rospatent.
KAS
Administrative cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation: judicial review of regulations and challenges to decisions of public authorities.
KUD
Criminal cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation: legal classification, sentencing, and the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
“Glossa”
Article-by-article commentary on the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (editor-in-chief A.G. Karapetov): doctrine, verbatim quotations, and references to the publication. Available if included in the company package.
Connection in seven steps
The process is the same in the claude.ai browser and in the Claude desktop app. The screenshots were taken in the browser.
Sign in to Claude: website claude.ai or desktop application. In the left panel, click Customize (“Customize”). A settings window will open.

In the Customize select Connectors, then the Add button in the upper-right corner and the Add custom connector.
If you already have separate CasusLegal connectors connected (the mcp, sip, kas or kud.casus.legal addresses), disable them here as well: the unified connector completely replaces them, and two identical sets of tools will make Claude search twice.

Name — using Latin characters only: CasusLegal. With a Russian-language name, Claude will connect the connector but will not see its tools in the chat.
Address — https://mcp.casus.legal/partner/mcp. Pay attention to the /partner/mcp at the end: this is the address of the unified connector, not an individual database.
Section Advanced settings leave blank. Click Add.

The connector has been created but is not yet authorized. Click Connect, and the CasusLegal sign-in window will open.

In the password field, enter only your access code in the format XXXX-XXXX, provided by the company administrator. You do not need to enter a tax identification number, organization name or work email, and you do not need to register. Do not use the “Sign in via Telegram” button: it is for individual subscribers.

In the connected connector card, to the right of the line Read-only tools select Always allow, otherwise Claude will ask for permission for every call. All tools are read-only.
The list will contain sixteen tools: nine with the prefix casuslegal_ (case-law databases; the database is selected by a parameter) and seven with the prefix glossa_ (commentary). If “Glossa” is not included in the company package, its tools will be visible but will respond that the commentary is not connected.

Open a new chat and ask a substantive question, for example: “Find Supreme Court of the Russian Federation case law on reducing a penalty under Article 333 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.” The response will include the details of the decisions with links to the full texts.
Check “Glossa”: “What does Glossa say about the materiality of a breach of contract under Article 450 of the Civil Code?” Check a specialized database: “Intellectual Property Court case law on the similarity of trademarks to the point of confusion.” There is no need to specify the database separately; Claude will select it automatically.
Frequently asked questions
I already have four CasusLegal connectors connected. What should I do with them?
Disable them and connect the unified one. Otherwise Claude sees two identical sets of tools and runs the search twice for a single question, so the response takes twice as long.
Claude says “I don’t see the connector tools”
In almost every case, the reason is that the connector has a Russian-language name. Delete it and add it again with a Latin-character name, such as CasusLegal.
The code is rejected or the connector responds “access disabled”
The code was disabled by the company administrator, the package term has expired, or the unified connector has not been connected to the package. All of these issues are resolved in the company account at lk.casus.legal/corp; contact your administrator.
glossa_* tools respond “not included in the package”
The “Glossa” commentary is connected to the company under a separate line of the agreement. Until it is enabled, the case-law databases work in full, and the book can be connected by the company administrator.
Is a VPN required?
No. The connector, the casus.legal website and the personal account work from Russia without a VPN.
Does this work in ChatGPT?
Your company’s package is designed for Claude, where the connection has been tested. Technically, ChatGPT also accepts the same address and code, but the instructions and support are provided for Claude.
